Ahsan Ahmed Khan Niazi

Ahsan Ahmed Khan NiaziAhsan Ahmed Khan Niazi is a classical vocalist from Agra Gharana, son of famous Sitar player Ustaad Shamim Ahmed Khan.

He has received his classical training from his maternal grand father Late Padmabhushan Ustad Khadim Hussain Khan Saheb.

He has performed in several musical circles of Mumbai such as N.C.P.A. ’96, Swar Sadhna Sameeti ’95, Rageshwari Music Circle’92 , Dilrang Music Circle ’96, Chintamani Music Circle ’94, Girnar Music ’89, Tilak Sham Music Circle ’98, Udayuan Music 98,amd several other cities like Calcutta, Agra, Aligarh, Surat, Pune, etc.

He is a B high Grade artist from AIR.

He also sang in the Sangeet Mahayagna Sammelan which was held for the 50th independence celebration. He has sung for the Rotary Music Festival of Thane Western Region ’98.

In 1989 he performed in Vividh Kala Mahotsava Music Festival organized by Maharashtra Governmemt Ichalkaranji, Jay (Sangli) and Satara.

He has been awarded the Surmani Award by Sur Singar Samasad in 1989.

He sang in Haridas Sammelan (Mumbai) in ’90 and ’92.

Ahsan is also learning from Ustaad Amanat Hussain Khan, cousin brother of late Ustaad Khadim Hussain Khan Sahaab.

Besides his classical singing he also composes music and has composed for Music Companies such as Magnasound, Polygram, Shasha Music and Tips Audio and has also done several Serials and Documentary films.

He has successfully accomplished composing Fusion Music of East and West based on the Ragaas which was highly appreciated by the international audience.
